Located in Vadocondes, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero and by the river that gives its name to the region, Antonio Alcubilla´s winery was born in the year 2004, with the gathered experience of several generations dedicated to growing grapes and producing wine. Our wines, which today travel around the world, are made from the best hand-picked and selected grapes. We produce a genuine Ribera del Duero, joining tradition and innovation. A soft-squeezing maceration in stainless steel tanks and low-pressure press give our wine the color and aroma that makes it unique.

Tasting Notes

Tasting notes Look: Cherry red of high depth, ruby edge and purplish reflections that denote certain youth. Glyceric and clean. Smell: Aromas of medium-high intensity, with sweet notes of strawberry, mature red fruits, mousse, milky, preserves and pastry, with slight memories of flowers (violets) and licorice. Taste: It is an original wine with a perfectly assembled acidity and alcohol content. Outstanding fineness and mature fruit sensations, clean and velvet encircling finish. Perfect balance that caresses the mouth. Serving temperature: 16-19º C Grape variety: 100% tempranillo.

Vintage: 2006 Tasting notes Look: Upper layer cherry red, with ruby ribbing and smooth purple light tones that show some youth. Cliceric. Smell: Middle-upper intensity aromas with sweet strawberry notes, black fruits, mousse and preserve. Violet, licorice and coffee hints, all assembled with fine woods that reminds of cinnamon and vanilla. Taste: An original wine on the palate with appropriate acidity, very well assembled with mature tannins. Soon, flavours that remind aromatic herbs, thicket and fruit preserve are shown. Hints of confectionery, coffee, chocolate, cumin and most of all vanilla. All this flavours plus fine noble wood hints, are shown in aftertaste. An exceptional wine that gets better with time.
