Bodegas Federico is a family-owned winery founded in 1986 by Federico Fernández Pérez, based in Pesquera de Duero, Valladolid, in the heart of Ribera del Duero. The winery draws inspiration from nature and the time-honored family winemaking craft of the Fernández family. Bodegas Federico wines are the result of a careful selection of the best fruit of the family’s 70 acres of vineyards, planted 100% with the highest quality Tempranillo. The rigorous climate, extreme temperature differentials, and low rainfall create exceptional growing conditions. Bodegas Federico’s unique, highly specific terroir, combined with a respect for nature result in equally exceptional wines. The winery offers a full range of wines from Joven Roble, Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva and Vendimia Seleccionada, under the “Tinto Federico” and Avenencia” labels.
