José Manuel Corrales

Bodegas Fuentespina, S.L. was founded in 1994, by the Vegas family, who brought experience in other Spanish appellations (D.O. Rueda, Rías Baixas, Cigales and Rioja). With control over more than 950 acres of vineyards with an average age of 25 years, the grape quality is complemented with modern winemaking facilities and an extensive ageing cellar. The barrels of American, French and Caucasian oak, are changed every 5 years. Bodegas Fuestespina has quickly become one of the top-selling wineries in D.O. Ribera del Duero, as a result of the excellent value for money of its product range.

Very dark in depth, on the nose it displays aromas of black fruits with roasted touches and spices, which remind us its journey through the wood. On the palate it is presents itself meaty, with an abundant body and tannins. Aromatic and very elegant end.

Tasting Notes

Intense cherry red colour with ruby borders. With a great finesse, elegance and intensity on the nose, it displays spicy and mineral notes, over a roasted and with ripe black fruits background (plum and prune). On the palate it is full, potent, high concentrated with present tannins but very polished. Very good structured, greasy and rounded . Very long lasting end.
