La Cepa Alta is the brainchild of Luis García Antón, who in 1991 began producing premium wines. The winery is located in Olivares de Duero, where Ribera wines have the reputation of being of the highest quality. It produces wine from its own grapes, and directly controls some 150 acres of vineyard, of which more than 120 are owned by the winery. Its reputation in Ribera del Duero, along with its keenness to continue to grow have turned a young family bodega into an ambassador of the region.
