Bodegas Trus, S.L. was established in 1999. Given that the quality of the wine is closely linked to quality of the grape it comes from, the location of the vineyards is imperative, which is why we have chosen a privileged area of the Ribera del Duero region; in the heart of the valley between Pesquera de Duero and Piñel de Abajo. Respecting traditions, the grape is stored in Oak Vats. Tradition has also taught us that the Ageing is a slow process. For this reason we select the best 225 litre French Oak Barrels which add smooth, rounded oak tannins to the wine and allow it to keep its fruity nature. Our philosophy is to produce high quality wines.

Tasting Notes

Dark cherry red colour, very intense rim and deep appearance. The nose shows initial red fruit and spicy. At the opening, ripe fruit compote, cherry, black plum and raisin appear. Hints of smoke, clove and black pepper are noticeable afterwards. The oak appears lightly toasted, with hints of dried fruits type hazelnut, nut, almond and fresh walnut. Its power and elegance is detected in the mouth, black fruit, fine, round, well balanced acid/ alcohol and a length that reaches the back of the mouth, pervading the whole palate. Fine tannins, ripe, which lend structure and amplitude characteristic of a very good maturity, glyceric and unctuous.
