Bodegas Valsardo de Peñafiel, S.L.

Bodegas Valsardo de Peñafiel is a family-owned vineyard and winery aiming to elaborate natural wines, based on the biodynamic philosophy and traditional methods. We own 22 acres of vines, 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The vines were planted in 1986 and the first wine we released under the Valsardo label was the 1998 vintage. Valsardo is a winery that produces only oak-aged wine of very high quality. Our wine has the characteristic of being organic, also called biodynamic (absolutely free from herbicides and fertilizers when in the plant and fully respecting the natural balance of the winemaking process). Valsardo worked in close conjunction with different Universities and research Institutions in developing research programs to obtain the best wine, always respecting nature; this is what makes the wines so distinctive. We produce wines, Valsardo and Valdeyuso, of harmonious and natural composition, with a special personality and strong character. The basis of these elegant wines is their freshness, longevity, the complex aromas influenced by their nature, their clean taste and brilliance and the fact they are forward and well-balanced.
